I have 4 miniature kids under 4 years outmoded and they all loved this point to!! It had unbiased the true amount of “spookiness” without being scary and it kept them entertained. They thoroughly enjoyed it and it is a very cute movie! I highly recommend this.

Casper, what a blast from the past. It is nice to glimpse my have grandchildren enjoying a character that I enjoyed myself when their age. My 4 year outmoded watched this over and over. A great hit. I’d like to study more of the quality cartoons of the past reformated for the note generation of kids. My four year primitive loved this and the 9 year venerable even watched it with him.

I saw “Medicine for Dismal” last year at the Sarasota Film Festival and was generally impressed by the film. “Medicine for Dismal” tells the myth of Micah (Wyatt Cenac) and Jo (Tracey Heggins), two strangers in San Francisco who wake from a drunken one night stand after meeting at a party. The film follows them through the following day, where they deal with the topics of rush, urban life, and the ultimate negate of whether what happened between them truly meant anything or was simply a one night stand. Wyatt Cenac, now a correspondent on The Daily Demonstrate, is perfectly sterling for his role as Micah and does an superb job throughout the entire film. Anyone who enjoys Wyatt Cenac on The Daily Prove will likely delight in his role in this film. The film has it’s stupid moments and there are some scenes it could probably fair do without, but it was all delightful in the waste. The cinematography, which won a “Special Jury Prize” at the Sarasota Film Festival, did a sizable job in capturing and creating the mood and setting a mellow, dream-like atmosphere. I’ve been hoping for this film to be distributed for a while now and am delighted to peer that it is finally going to be released on DVD. I feel that more people need to survey this film. Support in mind though, that this film is an independent film and was made on a petite budget by an aspiring group of young artists. I had the pleasure of seeing a discussion and Q&A after the film with the writer/director and a few others fervent in the production and editing of the film. Barry Jenkins, the writer/director of the film, acknowledged the film’s limitations and a few moments in the film that he felt he could improve upon. Jenkins and the film’s crew seemed passionate about the film and did an wonderful job in making the film even with a minute cast and a petite budget.

It is tough to digest that this is Barry Jenkins’ first movie. The confidence and the subtelty of his craft seems to mediate years of film making.

A mountainous instance of this is the opening sequence. Two strangers wakiing up from a one-night stand and trying to glean their bearings. The awkward glances, the stilted conversation are all something which most of us have known first hand.

In the above scene and splendid powerful forthe rest of the movie, Jenkins makes us a vouyeur yearning to know what transpires after that night. It is very reminiscent of Before Sunrise and Before Sunset.

As the non-night stand reluctantly meanders on to a day long romance, the characters and the city (my beloved San Francisco) comes to life.. Unprejudiced like the early morning fog clearing out, the characters shake of their uneasieness and reach into their contain.

Wyatt Cenac - (of The Daily Point To) shows us his flexibility beyond comedy.

Tracey Heggins is a revelation. The incredibly sparkling Heggins portrays the vulnerability and the defiance of a young African American woman in such an effortless manner. Hopefully Hollywood takes effect. We could definitely do with more such actresses.

When I recommend Before Sunrise and Before Sunset to friends, I ask them not to ogle it passively. Same applies to this movie. The nuances are the really tasty bits.

I fair couldn’t bring myself to do it. It took me several sittings to pick up through it the first time. Then I plan maybe I wasn’t being sparkling to it so when some friends were over this past weekend we watched it together (all of them Miike fans too) . The group consensus was that while we appreciated what he was trying to do with this, it unbiased wasn’t for us. I always accept a bit of humor in most Miike films, no matter how sick. This objective felt more like a Kung Fu Hustle type of deal, which isn’t a terrible thing but isn’t my bag. The drama was also unbiased a runt overwrought in places. I couldn’t really deal with the abominable dialogue either, I’m not obvious if that is supposed to be an homage to Sergio Leone filsm or what, but it was really distracting. We had to go encourage more than a few times to procure what characters were saying, and finally objective gave up and keep subtitles on. I’m not sorry I saw it, it’s unbiased not what I was hoping it would be.

First Stare Pictures has done this film and viewers a disservice. Aside from cutting 23 minutes from the unusual theatrical release, thereby making the legend chopped and damaging the more fluid presentation of the unusual film, they have also overly saturated the color and brightness of the film during the reminiscent episodes, as well as some of the segments concerning the “Reds.” I will applaud them for providing better clarity in the sound reproduction for dialogue, but ultimately would recommend avoiding this blu-ray transfer (as well as their regular DVD, due to similar editing) in favor of the new theatrical release, which is available through various vendors: RedSun DVD; DVD Asian; or YesAsia. Alternatively, try to track down an Asian blu-ray that presents the new run-time and that also offers a better quality transfer than First Witness.

Young@heart is a mixed chorus peaceful of singers and band members 70 and above. If you deem that means indicate tunes and ragged standards, you’re nasty. Some of the songs you’ll hear covered:

This is an astounding group of people. Joe, who at 86 can remember a song in one afternoon, had enough chemo to demolish a person, but he was unruffled up on stage. Fred, who has congestive heart failure must teach sitting down with oxygen at his side, is detached up performing. Bob, who had a heart attack, was performing his songs from his hospital bed when he had a heart attack.

Their music is in enormous print. In order to learn their songs, many of them are using a compact disk player for the first time and literally didn’t know which side of the disk was up.

They’re consummate performers. They dance even if it hurts and they smile for the audience. Even after they’d learned a troop member died an hour before, they gave an wonderful free performance at a local prison.

They’ve discovered the joy of music and they’re passing it along to audiences everywhere. I promise you will both laugh and wail in this film. You may also be moved to try some unusual things. Music brings joy to many lives and it’s clearly never too unhurried to bag out there and try something unique.

Rebecca Kyle, June 2008

It would be a shame if potential viewers of this unbelievable movie were fooled by the cheery trailer. This is not unprejudiced a cute movie about ancient people incongruously trying to deny rock songs. It is about people stretching beyond their hold boundaries, and the boundaries imposed on them by the rest of us, to enact results that are stirring and soulful. The “Young at Heart” Chorus is a Western Massachusetts musical phenemenon. Twenty some-odd singers, in their 70s, 80s and 90s, meet weekly or more to learn difficult and sometimes aurally painful fresh music. Led by young (only 53 year archaic) director Bob Cilman, the group has performed around the world, and also in its Northhampton home. This film follows the group in the 8 weeks prior to an Easter concert.

The film is hilarious and bulky of heart. There are plenty of shots of oldsters being sportive and even flirtatious. But the second half of the film achieves its depth by following frail members who battle illness and self-doubt as they prepare for one more shot on stage. The film includes plenty of on-the-scene shots of the chorus practicing, and a few hilarious music videos of their best songs. The “Saturday Night Fever” takeoff, shot in a bowling alley, is both a mammoth musical achievement by these often-ailing singers, and a terrific send-up of the new.

“Young at Heart” is amusing, plump of honorable pathos and a crowd pleaser. How many concert movies have the audience cheering and applauding a successful performance? Bring the whole family for a spacious time.

The classic 1942 comedy “Road to Moroco”, the 3rd in the “Road” series, starring Bing Crosby, Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour. This is my favourite- ample songs and zany comedy. Decades before Monty Python, the top-of-their-tree talents combined here created an outrageously modern and sensationally surreal comedy! Crosby and Hope were two of the biggest box-office draws at the time, and they luxuriate in themselves immensely in “Morocco”, with in-jokes aplenty (they even get fun of the Road series itself!) and double-and-triple crosses in abundance, as they try to acquire themselves out of concern and into romance, Bing the unexcited, crooning charmer and Bob the cowardly (but loveable) wanna-be. Dottie is lovely as ever, as are the sets and the befriend cast includes a menacing Anthony Quinn. The Johnny Burke-Jimmy Van Huesen get includes “Road to Morocco” (Bob and Bing on a camel- “Where we’re goin’, why we’re goin’, how can we be positive? I’ll lay you eight-to-five that we meet Dorothy Lamour!”) ; “Ho Hum” and “Moonlight Becomes You” (a classic Bing number, which he solos and reprises with Hope and Lamour) . They don’t compose `em like this anymore!

A top moneymaker in 1943, with an Oscar-nominated screenplay, ROAD TO MOROCCO is perhaps the most satisfying of the series in which the public loved from 1940-1962. Here, Hope and Crosby often step out of character to comment on the fictional state and the processes of film communication. Hope and Crosby say to the camera, and the lyrics include “I’ll lay you eight to five we meet Dorothy Lamour” and “For any villians we may meet we haven’t any fears - Paramount will protect us ’cause we’re signed for five more years”. Other illusion-breaking instances are those which refer to the earlier “Road” films. At one point, Hope and Crosby attempt the “pattycake” routine they had conventional in ROAD TO SINGAPORE and ROAD TO ZANZIBAR to salvage the best of their adversaries; but when it fails to work in this case, Crosby comments “Yessir Junior, that thing distinct got around” After they hasten from Kassim and are onboard a ship swagger for America, Lamour remarks to Crosby, “I procure the strangest feeling we’ve been through all this before” to which Crosby replies “I trapped you again.” The film lapses into total artificiality at the ruin, when they are stranded on a life raft. Here, Hope goes into an overdramatic “indignant” scene and when Crosby informs him that the Recent York skyline is in the background, Hope remarks, “You had to launch your substantial mouth and waste the only valid scene I have in the narrate”. “I might have won an Academy Award”. The subsequent ROAD pictures were even more blantantly artificial. Only in ROAD TO UTOPIA did Hope winover Lamour. In general, Hope’s contributions to film comedy have too long been disregarded. As a stand-up comedian, he is a explain business institution, and his timing and delivery have often been acknowledged as an influence on other such performers - most notably Johnny Carson. Crosby’s presence provides an added dimension to the series. His casual underplaying is the perfect counerpoint to Hope’s snappily fire gag lines. The bantering between the two obviously owed noteworthy to their long personal friendship; it always seems spontaneous and unrehearsed.

Okay, I bought this item for Around 70$. It is shapely pleasurable. I am almost 100% positive it’s bootleg, but that doesn’t bother me.

First of all, buyers should be aware that although the place is listed as Japanese/ English Language, the only disks in the box status that have Japanese/English audio tracks are the Sailor Moon S disks. The other disks are only in Japanese, but they all have English subtitles.

Second, the artwork on the box is a bit confusing. The box itself features all of the Senshi in their Shapely forms (which all except sailor moon Don’t collect until SuperS, which is not included in this box spot) .

Also, the Disk’s Boxes have artwork from the SuperS arc.

Third, the First and Second Disk Cases are titled as “Sailor Moon” Section 1 and “Sailor Moon” Fragment 2..the 3rd is Sailor Moon S

Overall, this Box dwelling is only recommended for people who really only care about actually watching Sailor Moon, and not how tremendous or authentic their DVD’s are. If you are a very picky person when it comes to quality, this region is NOT recommended for you.

Ok, so before I bought this, I read everyone’s reviews about it being bootleg. I quiet bought both 1 & 2, because I wanted the Stars and I had to have the complete location, I’m OCD that blueprint. Then it came in. I looked it over carefuly, noting the copyright warning and the UPC code on the bottom of the boxes. So if it is bootleg, it is high quality, and someone establish a lot of time in making it peek legit. I don’t care either device. It is a astonishing collection that plays on all my DVD’s, so it is encoded properly. I has the Movies in it, all 3, yea! I was shock by the sheer number of episodes that I had never seen. Note* the first season is in Japanese with English subtitles. It is not in English at all. Since I wanted it in Japanese anyway this did not bother me, I cherish to hear them direct. I care for it! I acquire that the 1950 Disney adaption of the fairy yarn by Charles Perrault is one of the most well-liked Disney movies released since 1937. This movie is silly, gloomy, and charming at the same time, which may sound impossible for some movies.

I have watched this movie since I was 2, and I am now 12, and let me voice you that after 10 years, you never come by tired of it. I have the Masterpiece copy on this page, and it is very, very obsolete out, so I cannot wait for Disney to re-release this classic on Disney VHS and DVD in 2007, so I can grasp it and technically collect my hands on it! :)

Anyway, this movie is about a girl named Cinderella, who’s father and mother have both died. She is forced to live with her vain and repugnant stepsisters and cruel stepmother, and furthermore is forced to become a slave in her fill home.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Cinderella! Click Here

Cinderella’s only friends are the precise mice, the birds, the dog an also the horse. One day, an invatation arrives from the palace, stating that every eligible maiden in the kingdom has to abet to a royal ball, honoring the return of the prince.

Cinderella’s stepmother lies to her, saying she can go only if she gets her chores done, and if she finds something top-notch to wear.

She does all her chores, while her animal friends obtain a dress for her. Sadly, the stepsisters travel it up, and leave. However, Cinderella meets her Fairy Godmother, who sends her off to the ball, but she has to be abet before the stroke of midnight, otherwise, the spell will be broke…

Buy,Download, Or Stream Cinderella! Click Here

Enjoy this Disney masterpiece once again, which proves that dreams can approach apt.

In an wretchedness to revive his sagging animation department, Walt Disney turned once again to a fairy narrative. This time around, he chose one of the best known and oldest of them all, Cinderella.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Cinderella! Click Here

The story is familiar. A dazzling girl is abused by her stepmother and stepsisters and forced to work as their slave. When a ball is given for all the eligible maidens in the kingdom, Cinderella dreams of going too, only to have her hopes dashed at the last diminutive. With a gift of magic, she is able to go, but only until the stroke of midnight.

The account is so well known, if fact, that any tale about an underdog coming from slow and winning is called a Cinderella tale. Disney’s job here was to beget the anecdote bright for 75 minutes. The solution here was creating the animals. Mice Jaq and Gus and their constant struggle against the improper cat Lucifer is droll and tying this sub-plot to the ultimate outcome is gleaming. The other standout character is the stepmother who is frighteningly deplorable with no trim powers.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Cinderella! Click Here

As with any Disney movie, this one also has astronomical songs. Arguably the best known is “Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo.” Upright late it is “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes.” My celebrated, however, is the often overlooked appreciate song “So This is Worship.”

While not the best release in the Platinum series, it composed stacks up well. The movie has been restored, and it looks vast to me. I’m not a nitpicker, but I can’t fetch any problems with the chunky frame describe, the recent aspect ratio. There is an enhanced 5.1 home theater mix, which doesn’t seem quite as impressive as some other releases. It seems more like the sound coming equally from all speakers. Of course, given the age of the film, there probably isn’t noteworthy more they could do. For purists, there is an recent soundtrack on the disc as well.

The extras in this region seem to be split between exclaim for kids and adults, with the kids winning. Disc one includes a unique version of “A Dream is a Wish” with the stars of several Disney Channel series. It also has several “Cinderella stories” in sports moments, a queer feature to me. Disc two includes several features about living like a princess.

Also on disc two are the bonus features adult fans of this movie will want to inspect. There are two “deleted scenes,” which are really abandoned songs with the storyboards created for them. In edition there are more abandoned songs with no storyboards on here. It’s magnificent bright watching how various ideas went from one acquire to another before finally making it into the movie. Other extras include a thirty-eight puny documentary about the creation of the present, including achieved interviews with the animators slow the present. We are also treated to an overview of how the movie progressed over the years it was in development, a tribute to the “Nine Feeble Men,” Disney’s “Laugh-O-Gram” version of the epic from 1922, and radio promotion from the time. I was thrilled to gawk trailers from the movie’s multiple releases here. Unfortunately, there is no commentary in stare.

This Platinum DVD release means that all of Disney’s fascinating movies have been save on DVD at some point in the last few years. While the Platinum series isn’t quite as nice for adult fans as they aged to be, this is aloof a release that fans of the movie will want to rob up.

Synopsis: Armand “The Blackbird” Degas (played by Mickey Rourke) is a professional criminal who travels to the Detroit set to conduct some criminal activities. He runs into low-life criminal Richie Nix (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), whom Degas takes a intellectual to despite Nix’s reckless and sociopathic tendencies. The two settle to prefer in an extortion attempt on a realtor and inadvertently involve husband and wife Wayne Colson (Thomas Jane) and Carmen Colson (Diane Lane) into their schemes. Well, after Nix is injured during the extortion attempt, the duo open focusing on revenge more than the real extortion. Meanwhile, the memoir begins placing added emphasis on the deteriorating relationship of the Colsons, who prior to meeting Degas and Nix were considering divorce. One thing leads to another and the Colsons have to gape perceive protection to sprint attempts on their life. But not even peruse protection will halt the criminals from trying to get the couple…

Buy,Download, Or Stream Killshot! Click Here

First off, I enjoyed the film because of it’s setup. The locations were edifying (my grandparents stop in Algonac, Michigan, so seeing portions of that and Detroit in the movie are awesome.) I also view the casting was qualified too; you didn’t despise Rourke despite the fact that he was a violent person and Levitt’s character was one you LOVED to detest. The movie was intense but not entirely predictable like most action films are. In the ruin, you have a movie that feels like an action-romance account that could be equally entertaining as either or despite how violent the movie is.

What bums me out is what we didn’t perceive in the film. The film wrapped post-production up in 2006(!!!) but didn’t secure to search for the a wide release because many felt the yarn was confusing (and it can be at times; but this is a movie that’s meant to watched twice.) This lead to any and all scenes spellbinding Johnny Knoxville (who played the role of a Deputy) to be removed from the film entirely. I would have loved to have seen the uncut version of this film but for continuity purposes, this is the film that was provided to us.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Killshot! Click Here

All and all though, it’s level-headed one that’s worth checking out and recommended to people who’d want to spy what an action/romance film would contemplate like.

Armand “Blackgird” Degas (Rourke) is a hitman for the Toronto mafia. When his dedication to the job brings about the wrath of his employers, he falls in with Richie Nix (Gordon-Levitt), a two-time crook who’s a bit too anxious for his have helpful. When they try one of Nix’s many extortion schemes, they race into struggling couple Wayne and Carmen Colson (Jane and Lane) . Degas is definite to let no one who sees his face live. Wayne and Carmen going into protective custody isn’t about to close that.

KILLSHOT is a perfectly decent thriller, with a improbable premise that, though not wholly believable, is at least fascinating and fresh. I haven’t read the current yet, though I idea to do so; I have a feeling the new (written by the notorious Elmore Leonard) explores the thematic potentials more fully than the film, which at times feels like a mish-mash of scenes rather than one solid whole. (This can be blamed on the long delay; I first saw previews for KILLSHOT years–literally years–ago.) The script itself is fairly solid, except for a few cliched lines of dialogue; there are a few pleasurable surprises, and even some damned-fine humor and action sequences.

Thomas Jane is solid as usual (I won’t say “always;” he’s had some clunker roles in the past, though it’s usually the film’s fault and not his), and Diane Lane manages to prefer quite a few scenes. Overall, though, the film rests squarely on the grand shoulders of Mickey Rourke, who is delightfully disagreeable, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who is overly campy and thoroughly exquisite. The interaction between the two isn’t quite fleshed out like it should be (and their relationship isn’t at all believable; a pro like Degas would never hook up with a small-time punk like Nix, no matter how great the latter resembles the former’s deceased kid brother), but each actor holds his absorb in different ways: Rourke shows his mastery of restraint (gawk THE WRESTLER for another example of this talent, albeit under extremely different circumstances), and Gordon-Levitt has one hell of a friendly time camping it up, letting his character’s long hair and unjustified ego flee.

KILLSHOT isn’t quite what it could have been, but it’s detached a solid film that’s worth a survey or two. It’s rapid and suspenseful; if you can overlook some of its logistics errors, it’s an inviting thriller that offers some solid acting and an involving spot.
